Our Role
Active Lancashire support children and young people to have positive experiences of sport, play and physical activity, helping them to enjoy being active and build healthy habits for life.
We support Sport England’s Uniting the Movement strategy by focusing on what really matters to children and young people, feeling safe, welcome, confident and included.
What We Do as a System Partner
Our core role is to bring people together and strengthen the local system so that children and young people can be active in ways that work for them.
We do this by:
- Connecting partners: schools, community organisations, health, local authorities, youth services and sports clubs
- Supporting quality and inclusion: helping others create positive, engaging and inclusive experiences
- Influencing change: shaping local approaches so activity is easier to access and more relevant
- Putting young people first: amplifying youth voice and focusing on those least likely to be active
