We can help your club grow by:
- Building connections & developing relationships with other clubs, groups, and organisations across Lancashire via our Network on WhatsApp, our Hub on Facebook, or direct contact.
- Guiding clubs towards resources and guidance that may be useful for your specific needs.
- Sharing best practice and learning from others in the network to build stronger, more connected clubs and groups.
- Upskilling your staff and volunteers through training opportunities.
- Celebrating success and raising awareness about your amazing work via our various platforms.
- Assisting your Club Welfare / Safeguarding Officers to promote positive welfare cultures and develop club policies and procedures, including through member workshops.
Is it just sports clubs?
No, our support extends beyond just sports clubs. We work with:
- Affiliated Sports Clubs
- Non-affiliated Sports Clubs
- Community Groups & Activities
- Additionally, the Sport Welfare Officer Network (SWO network) was created to support National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and we also work with Local Authorities & Education and Other Agencies & Organisations.
What training is there?
We offer a range of training opportunities to upskill your staff and volunteers. We can organise training or send you courses to book onto.
To meet specific needs, we have created bespoke training opportunities, developing some of this training internally and also sourcing high-quality external training.
Opportunities are available through our Active Lancashire Learning Zone or through other agencies such as the Ann Craft Trust or the CPSU. We also offer member workshops to support clubs in their welfare journey.
Do you help with funding?
While we don’t directly provide funding, we are able to guide clubs towards resources and guidance that may be useful for your needs.
