Making movement part of better health and wellbeing

Our Role

Physical activity is one of the most effective and accessible ways to improve health and wellbeing. It can help prevent ill health, support recovery, manage long-term conditions and improve mental wellbeing.

We work with health and care partners across Lancashire to make physical activity a routine part of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. From social prescribing and long-term condition management to community-based support, we champion movement as an essential part of good health and care.

We also recognise the important role physical activity can play in supporting mental wellbeing. By working with communities to create accessible, welcoming opportunities to move, connect and be active, we can help reduce isolation, build confidence and strengthen resilience.

Personalised Health and Care Training

Through our partnership with the NHS Integrated Care Board, we deliver a range of training that helps health and care professionals have more meaningful conversations about health and wellbeing.

Our training includes Health Coaching, Making Every Contact Count (MECC) and Patient Activation Measures, supporting professionals to build confidence, develop personalised approaches and help people take an active role in managing their own health.

Together, we are helping create a more personalised approach to health and care – one that recognises the individual needs, strengths and circumstances of every person.
