At Active Cycles, many of the bikes we restore are donated to schools, community organisations and local projects across Lancashire, helping more people enjoy the benefits of cycling. 

We work with schools to provide bikes for Bikeability training, giving children the opportunity to develop essential cycling skills and confidence in a safe environment. We also donate bikes to community groups that promote active travel, helping people access employment, education and local services while improving physical and mental wellbeing. 

Alongside standard bicycles, we also restore and donate adapted bikes to ensure cycling is accessible to people with a range of additional needs and abilities. By giving every bike a new purpose, we’re helping to reduce waste, support healthier communities and make cycling available to more people across Lancashire.
