A new Rossendale Works Resilience Hub will launch at Adrenalin Leisure Centre on Monday 7th September, bringing partners together to help local people build resilience, develop skills and connect with wider support and opportunities.

Delivered through the Better Lives Programme and supported by the Crisis Resilience Fund, the initiative is being developed in partnership with Active Lancashire and Rossendale Borough Council.

The launch will give participants an opportunity to experience the support available through the Hub. The session will begin with a drop-in workshop programme, followed by a full afternoon of activities facilitated by Rossendale Leisure Trust staff.

The combination of practical workshops and physical activity will create an accessible and supportive environment in which participants can develop confidence, strengthen personal resilience and explore positive next steps.

Participants will also be connected with the wider support and opportunities available through Rossendale Works . This will help ensure that the launch is not a standalone event, but part of a coordinated local offer designed to provide ongoing and appropriate support.

The Resilience Hub reflects the value of partnership working in addressing the different challenges that can affect people’s wellbeing, confidence and ability to move forward. By connecting council services, community support, employability provision and opportunities to be active, partners can offer a more joined-up response to local needs.

The launch will also allow participating organisations to build relationships with residents, better understand individual circumstances and help people identify the services and opportunities most relevant to them.

Paul Becouran, Community Partnerships Manager at Active Lancashire said: “The Rossendale Works Resilience Hub demonstrates what can be achieved when local partners combine their knowledge, resources and expertise around the needs of residents. By bringing practical support, opportunities and positive activities together in one place, we can help people build confidence, strengthen resilience and take their next steps. The afternoon activity programme will provide an inclusive and encouraging way for participants to get involved, connect with other people and experience some of the wider benefits of being active.”

The launch event is free to attend and open to young people and adults looking to build skills and confidence. takes place on Monday 7th September 2026 at Adrenalin Leisure Centre. Drop in workshops from 10am – 12noon, activity programme 1pm – 3pm.
