I oversee the health training contracts with Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB; Making Every Contact Count, Patient Activation Measure training and Health Coach Training. I manage relationships across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre to support the local communities becoming more physically active working with key partners such as the local authority, community trusts, health. I have also been seconded two days a week to ‘Move Together Blackpool’ – aiming to help influence system change, system leadership and encouraging people to move a little bit more.
Why I Do What I Do
I have always been passionate about physical activity and sport. Since I was little, I have enjoyed swimming and football. I would love for others to be able to feel as passionately as I do about movement but also have the opportunity to get involved as well.
Living Our Values
- People First – I listen to others and see what matters to them.
- Everyone Counts – I value all thoughts and include people in discussions.
- Working Together – I love creating new partnerships and links to support our communities.
My Active Lancashire
I stay active by walking and running around after my little girl!
Favourite Green or Blue Space
I love going to Worden Park with my family and enjoy kicking the ball and running around.
A Project I’m Proud Of
I am proud of the work happening across the Lancashire footprint in embedding physical activity into our local systems to try and create sustainable change in physical activity levels. I feel as though I am supporting the work especially across the Fylde Coast and am excited for hopefully many opportunities to come in Lancashire!
