I lead operations, place-based partnerships, and strategic approaches for children and young people at Active Lancashire, driving collaborative efforts to improve health, wellbeing, and opportunities in our communities.
Why I Do What I Do
I’m motivated by the power of strong relationships and connected communities to create lasting change, especially for children and young people. Bringing partners together to collaborate and align around shared goals is what I enjoy most, and it’s what drives me every day at Active Lancashire.
Living Our Values
- Working Together: Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. I like to build strong, trusted relationships across sectors to align efforts and create meaningful impact.
- Everyone Counts: I like to focus on reaching those who are often overlooked, ensuring our work connects with the children, young people, and communities who need it most.
My Active Lancashire
I stay active by cycling regularly, playing football, and coaching in junior grassroots football, it’s a great way to stay connected to the community while keeping fit and having fun.
Favourite Green or Blue Space
One of my favourite outdoor spots in Lancashire is the Trough of Bowland, it’s perfect for cycling, hiking, and exploring as a family, with great landscapes, trails, and somewhere nice to escape into nature.
A Project I’m Proud Of
A key highlight has been leading the Active Madrassah and Active Schools workstreams, where we’ve supported organisational behaviour change to embed sport, movement, and play at the heart of their culture, giving children fun, positive experiences and helping them thrive physically, socially, and emotionally.
